The scraper system is a complex and important equipment component. Its performance directly affects the quality and production efficiency of the product. So, do you know what common problems or causes of failure of the scraper system are?

Scraper System

1. The scraper moves unsteadily or makes noise

Failure cause:

Ball bar screw mechanism problem: The ball bar screw mechanism is loose, worn or damaged, resulting in unsteady scraper movement.

Servo motor failure: There are problems with the servo motor itself, such as motor bearing damage, motor drive circuit failure, etc., which affect the smoothness of the scraper movement.

Improper controller settings: Controller parameters are incorrectly set, such as unreasonable settings of speed, acceleration and other parameters, resulting in fluctuations during the scraper movement.

Second, the scraper movement fails or stops at a certain position

Cause of failure:

Servo motor failure: The servo motor cannot work properly, such as motor stuck, motor drive circuit failure, etc.

Sensor failure: The sensor cannot accurately detect the scraper position or movement state, resulting in the control system unable to correctly control the scraper movement.

Line problem: There are problems such as open circuit and short circuit in the control line or power line, resulting in the scraper system unable to obtain sufficient power or control signal.

3. The scraper system cannot be started or shut down

Cause of failure:

Power failure: The power supply is unstable or the power line fails, resulting in the scraper system being unable to obtain sufficient power support.

Control system failure: The control system software or hardware failure, such as PLC program error, control board damage, etc., causes the system to be unable to start or shut down correctly.

Safety protection device triggering: The safety protection device equipped with the scraper system (such as emergency stop button, limit switch, etc.) is triggered, resulting in the system being unable to start or shut down.

4. The scraper wears too fast

Cause of failure:

Material problem: The material contacted by the scraper is too hard or contains impurities, resulting in increased scraper wear.

Improper use: The pressure, speed and other parameters during the use of the scraper are set unreasonably, or the angle between the scraper and the contact surface is incorrect, resulting in excessive scraper wear.

Insufficient lubrication: The scraper system lacks the necessary lubrication, resulting in increased friction between the scraper and the contact surface, which accelerates scraper wear.

V. Other common problems

Poor material feeding or material blockage: This may be caused by poor material fluidity, uneven feeding or unreasonable scraper system design.

Excessive vibration: The scraper system may experience excessive vibration during operation, which may be caused by unstable equipment foundation, imbalance between the scraper and the contact surface, or loose internal parts of the equipment.
